Planning Outfits
Plan on bringing 2- 3 outfits. It is always good to pick outfits that you are comfortable wearing and are your own style. Choosing a few things that are a mix casual and more dressy is always a great idea. That way your photos have variety. Adding a jacket or blazer can change up an outfit easily. Any accessories you would like in the photos - hats or jewelry.
Locations
One of the questions I get most is 'what is a good location for senior photos?' There are so many fun places to do senior photos!
Whatever your style is or the look you are going for, we will decide on the perfect place- urban, mountains, fields, city buildings, or a studio. I have a lot of recommendations for great senior photo locations.
Posing
I totally understand how awkward it is getting photos taken if you aren't in front of the camera a lot. I will help with any posing ideas you need. Really, the first few minutes are kind of awkward, but after a bit it becomes more natural. I want you to have fun and be comfortable. Also, I want your photos to reflect your personality. We will do posed photos and fun candid, more natural photos as well. If you have any poses you have found online or seen in other photos, let me know and we can do them.
What to include in Photos
This is your session and time to show your personality, talents, and things that make you happy. I love when seniors bring all the things! Bring your dog or pet, best friend, musical instruments, sports items, dance or cheer things, books, awards, car or truck, or any other props or items that is important to you.
Editing
I will fix any acne, bruising, or discoloration in the photos. If you get a breakout before your session, don't worry!
I will edit a few of your photos in black & white as well. Some pictures look really good in classic black& white.
